the lost gardens of Penttilä
The
lost gardens of Heligan inspired me to add these pages to our
website. Penttilä, much like Heligan, has an inspiring history. It did
certainly not have the grandeur which Heligan was given. But Penttilä is
a centuries old place which, in comparison with Great Britain, was a
remote part of the world with long and cold winters. Getting a farm and
horticultural center to have succes requires hard labor and pereverance.
And then for any reason nature will take over.
